CQUINs
CQUIN stands for Commissioning for Quality and Innovation.
It is a payment framework introduced in 2009 to make a proportion of healthcare providers’ income conditional on demonstrating improvements in quality and innovation in specified areas of care.
This means that a proportion of our income is conditional on achieving quality improvement and innovation goals agreed between the Trust and its commissioners. Some of the goals have also been included in our Quality Report and Accounts as a priority, further demonstrating our commitment to quality improvement in these areas.
