The comprehensive oncology service is delivered from a large purpose built unit at Russells Hall Hospital.

The Georgina Unit Outpatient Clinics

There are 14 oncology clinics that run each week and are attended by a consultant oncologist and specialist registrar.

The Georgina Unit Day Case

The day case is a modern, fully equipped clinical area where procedures (for example blood tests) and treatments (including blood and platelet transfusions) are carried out.

Skin Oncology

This service is also located at Russells Hall Hospital with clinics held at the Corbett Hospital Outpatient Centre offering assessments, investigations and treatments for skin lesions including:

• Non-melanoma skin cancer

• Malignant melanoma skin cancer

Treatments include surgery, radiotherapy and clinical trials. The Trust provides a full multi-disciplinary team for the management of skin cancer including specialists in:

• Dermatology

• Plastic surgery

• Oncology

• Radiology

• Radiography

• Histopathology

We also offer sentinel lymph node biopsy for patients where the need has been identified.
